There is a popular website called Grown and Flown about parenting teens and preparing for them to launch into college and young adulthood. I'm not quite there yet, my kids are still growing and not quite flying. However, I am at that stage in my parenting journey. Our daughter is finishing her junior year in high school and has her first scholarship application to complete by June 4.
Parenting is an amazing journey, you can't imagine your home without them because they occupy so much of your time, money, and emotional energy. Then, they get older, and you want them to emotionally distance because that is a normal part of growing up. But, the thought of one of my babies living in a different city is frightening!
